Plastic prostheses are worn until the wounds heal after tooth extraction, implantation or bone augmentation procedures. They also protect the treated area from changes. A plastic temporary prosthesis can be used for both a single tooth and a group of teeth. A temporary prosthesis is worn while a permanent prosthesis is being manufactured.
Plastic crowns or bridges look high-quality, aesthetically pleasing - like natural teeth - but over time they lose color, shine, wear out, so it recommended that they are used temporarily.
